View jail detector

View jail is not one thing. There are three, they look nothing alike, and the fix for one does nothing for the others: uploads that were never shown to anyone, uploads that were shown and did not hold anybody, and a ceiling that good channels hit and stop at. This reads your recent uploads, says which of the three you are in, and when it finds one, watches two of the affected uploads and hands back the first moves for that specific jail.

What it does

  • Names the jail rather than just flagging a number: zero views, the low band, or the ceiling band at 10k to 30k.
  • Measured against your own older uploads, so it works on a channel of any size, and only ever compares you with yourself.
  • Uploads younger than a couple of days are left out, because their counts are still climbing and counting them would look like a collapse every time.
  • A run that finds nothing is free. Credits only move when there is a jail to work on.
  • When one is found, two of the affected uploads are watched through, so the notes are about your actual opening seconds, pacing, and delivery rather than about reach in general.
  • A report on the likely cause in that band, with the moves that band needs, in the order to make them.
  • A follow-up chat that stays on this one problem, so you can ask what to change next.
  • Tells you the window for deciding whether an upload should come down and go back up, and which stats decide it.

How it works

  1. 01 Connect the channel you want to read, or pick one you already have connected.
  2. 02 Run it. It compares your recent uploads against your own baseline and works out which band you are in.
  3. 03 If nothing is wrong, you get the numbers and you are not charged.
  4. 04 If something is wrong, it watches two of the affected uploads, writes the report for that jail, and opens the chat.

Questions

What is view jail?
It is the name creators use for the state where uploads stop getting the reach they used to, or never get any at all, without anything obvious having changed. There is no setting that shows it, so the only way to see it is to compare a channel against itself and know what each pattern means.
Which kinds of view jail does it know?
Three. Uploads that have settled at zero views and were never shown to anyone. Uploads sitting in single figures or the low tens, which were shown and did not hold anybody. And the ceiling band around ten to thirty thousand views, where the format works and what moves it is consistency rather than repair. Each one calls for a different first move, which is why the tool names yours rather than handing over a general list.
How does it decide?
It takes your recent uploads, works out the views a day each one is getting by its age, and compares the newest ones against the ones before them. A fall shows up as your newest uploads pulling a fraction of what your older ones still pull. It also reads the band your uploads are sitting in, because a channel that was never shown anything at all has no fall to measure, and it flags a single upload that fell off while the rest held.
Does a detection cost me anything if nothing is wrong?
No. Reading the numbers happens before anything is spent, and a run that finds nothing is free. Credits are only taken when a run finds a jail and goes on to watch your uploads and write the report.
How accurate is it?
The numbers are real and the comparison is yours, so a fall it reports is a real fall against your own history. Which jail it is and what caused it are judgements, not facts, and everything on the page is written that way. It can only see public views and dates, never your retention or swipe rate, so it will tell you which of those to check rather than pretending to know.
What is the chat for?
It stays on this one subject: which jail you are in, what to change, and how to tell whether it worked. Ask it what to do about a specific upload, or whether an upload should come down and go back up. It will not answer unrelated questions, which is deliberate: a general assistant would, and this is more useful for being narrow.
Do I need to connect a channel?
Yes. There is nothing to compare without one. The access is read only, and nothing is uploaded, changed, or published on your channel.
